NORTH KAYONG LIBERICA COFFEE FOR MANGROVE CONSERVATION

NORTH KAYONG LIBERICA COFFEE FOR MANGROVE CONSERVATION North Kayong Liberica Coffee that we produce comes from the coastal area of the river estuary which is surrounded by mangrove forests. The peatland condition dominates the coffee plantations of people's plantations, precisely in Podorukun Village, Seponti District. The Liberica coffee type is one of the plantation crops that is able to grow and adapt to the low soil pH conditions of the peat soil type, apart from that, Liberika coffee is also able to adapt to the tidal conditions of brackish water (where salt water and fresh water meet). Coffee plants are very susceptible to waterlogging for long periods of time, therefore it is necessary to maintain mangrove forest areas to control tidal overflows and also control the quality of river water which is very much needed by Liberica's coffee plants.
